We’re on a Plastic Diet

From 1 September, the Environmental Humanities Center will participate in the Plastic Diet, an international action to garner attention to the role of single-use plastic in environmental problems. As we learnt in our Microplastics Event, disposable plastics in straws, cups, and packaging material do not decompose but disintegrate into small particles that enter into water and living organisms. Reducing plastic use is the most effective way to deal with these problems.

The Center and its board members aim to eliminate single-use plastics from their lives during the month of September, supported by useful tips from the Plastic Diet newsletter, sent by Opgemärkt.
